To educate, advocate, and provide therapeutic recreational solutions for people with disabilities and the businesses serving them.
A Recreation Therapist uses recreational activities for intervention in some physical, social or emotional behavior to bring about a desired change in that behavior and promote the growth and development of the patient.
Vision
Amazing Rec Therapy, LLC is dedicated to increasing the quality of life for all people with any type of
disability/special needs, by providing modified recreational and leisure services for the whole wellbeing.
Therapeutic recreational interventions such as

Stress Management
Social Skills
DBT
Leisure Awareness
Physical Activities
Community Integration
and more
are offered to increase confidence and skill improvement.
Consultations to businesses, schools, rehabilitation and skilled nursing facilities are available as well.
About Rec Therapy (RT):

When individuals are suffering from a physical injury or mental illness, they need help learning, not only how to live with their disability,
But to enhance their quality of life by reducing the isolation that patients experience and helping them to participate in leisure activities.”
Working With A CTRS:
“The purpose of the RT process is to improve or maintain physical, cognitive, social, emotional and spiritual functioning in order to facilitate full participation in life.
Services are provided or directly supervised by a “Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist” (CTRS).
The individual CTRS practitioner has greater standing in the healthcare and human service arena
Due to the quality of the therapeutic recreation professional credential and the efforts of NCTRC.”
